Pop the Kettle on for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity’s Big T-Break Week
It’s time for tea across the North West as Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity launches this year’s Big T-Break campaign.
The Charity is encouraging supporters to invite friends and family round for a brew in exchange for a small donation, with all funds raised supporting projects to make a stay in hospital more comfortable and less daunting for the 200,000+ youngsters who receive treatment at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital every year.
Now in its eighth year, the Big T-Break campaign has so far raised over £45,000 for the charity, supporting a range of projects including the enhancement of the radiology unit at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Everyone who signs up to host a Big T-Break will be entered into a prize draw to win a year’s supply of tea from campaign sponsor, English Tea Shop (ETS). English Tea Shop is a premium collection of Organic and Fairtrade handpicked teas and infusions, produced in their own factory in Sri Lanka and sold in over 35 countries including North America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Australia.
Ranjeeva De Silva, Director of Marketing and Sales for English Tea Shop, says:
"We are delighted to be involved in supporting Royal Manchester Children's Hospital's 'Big Tea Break'. At English Tea Shop, we are committed to giving back to the communities around us and this seemed like an ideal initiative for us."
Angela Rowe, Community Fundraiser for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, says:
“The Big T-Break is a wonderfully simple way for our supporters to raise money to support our young patients, simply by gathering together friends or colleagues for a cuppa. You can push the boat out and provide a full-scale bake sale at work or keep things simple with tea and biscuits with your friends at home but no matter what you do you will know that you are making a difference to poorly children from across the North West region and beyond.”
This year’s campaign takes place over the week Monday 31st March to Sunday 4th April and registration is simple – all you need to do is complete our online registration form and we'll send you a fundraising pack including a collection box, posters to promote your event and a free sample of English Tea Shop tea.
