Interactive Patient Survey Games for 5-11 year olds - £25,000

In March 2016 we were the first NHS children’s hospital in the UK to introduce a storybook patient survey for children under five to encourage our young patients to give us their feedback about their experience in our hospital and improve the care we are able to offer. Using patient feedback to drive change is a well-embedded
culture at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital yet the hospital found that most feedback came from parents, with a significantly low number of responses from younger children.

Following the success of the storybook app, we would like to create an interactive patient survey for our patients aged five and over.  Taking the form of an interactive game that will feature Humphrey Bear, the new game will give older children a more innovative and age appropriate way of voicing their opinion and improving hospital services for all patients, and will once again be a first for the UK.
