Add us to your Christmas list
Will you add Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity to your Christmas List this year?
At Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital we are one big family. A family of nurses who care for children every day, of surgeons who perform life-saving surgery,of play workers who bring smiles to bedsides.
We work hard all year round to make sure our hospital is as family-friendly as possible. This makes the hospital a less scary place for our young patients, a more welcoming place for their families to visit and a place where siblings can have fun together. This is all the more important at Christmas time.
Christmas is a time of giving and celebrating with your loved ones. Unfortunately not all of our young patients will be able to spend the holiday period at home with their families.
While most people are getting excited to see relatives, stocking the cupboards with festive treats and picking out the perfect presents, for families with poorly children, the festive period can be a highly distressing time.
Whether their child needs to spend Christmas in hospital, or is well enough to return home just in time for the big day, the whole family is unable to enjoy the things we take for granted at this special time of year.
Every year our hospital family does everything we can to bring a little festive cheer to our patients. From Christmas trees throughout the hospital to Christmas gifts and celebrity visits, we try to make the hospital a special place to be at this time of year.
We can’t do this without your support. This year, please add Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity to your Christmas List and let our young patients know you are thinking of them. Any donation you can make – no matter how big or small – will make a real difference to the children who need our care on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and every day.
