Humphrey's Lantern Walk
Join us on Sunday 15th October for our brand new family Lantern Walk in the beautiful autumnal surroundings of Heaton Park.
Humphrey Bear will wave participants off on the sponsored 2km walk, taking in Heaton Hall, The Temple and the gardens. Those taking part will also help us to light up the tunnel at Heaton Park and raise money in support of patients at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. All children taking part will receive a goody bag, including a paper lantern with twinkling light.
Registration costs £5 per participating child and £2 per person for all other members of the party, including children. Register online before 3rd September and receive a FREE pair of Humphrey bear ears to wear on the day! To help us make a difference we are asking participating children to each raise a minimum sponsorship of £25. Participants that raise over £50 will receive a FREE Humphrey beanie bear.
On the day we’d love to see your child’s favourite superhero costume or fancy dress outfit to help make our first ever Lantern Walk even more special! (Fancy dress is optional).
Registration will open at 3pm, close to The Stables Restaurant. Why not make it an even more fun filled day and travel by public transport to Heaton Park. For full transport details please visit the Heaton Park website. The nearest car park is The Hall Car Park accessible via the St Margaret’s Road entrance. Humphrey will wave participants over the start line at 4pm, with the event expected to finish around 5:30pm. The route is accessible for both wheelchairs and buggies. Subject to availability you may be able to register on the day for £10 per participating child.
