    As Head of Charities I am responsible for the charity’s overall strategy and implementing our ambitious fundraising programme across all income streams.  I joined the charity in 2003 and became Head of Charities in 2007.

    Deputy Head of Charities – Individual Giving & Trusts

    I have special responsibility for individual giving and charitable trusts.  Individual giving covers all donations received from direct mail, regular givers, major donors and legacy gifts.  Part of my role is to seek out interesting and worthy projects from the hospitals of the trust for the Charity Team to fundraise for.

    Schools Fundraising Officer

    My job is to work with our school communities and plan with them the best way for a school to fundraise for the charity.  I visit schools to talk to pupils and staff about the work that goes on in the hospital and how their fundraising could help to make a difference to children in hospital. I also help to support our fundraisers and look after those taking part in Onesie Day or Teddy Toddle!

    Donor Development Officer

    I am the Donor Development Officer and oversee the administration department. The department processes all incoming donations and provides support to the fundraising team. I manage our database and profile our donors in order to maximise our mailing campaigns.

    Press Officer

    I am responsible for all press and media enquiries at the charity, liaising with journalists to help get your fundraising stories heard. I also provide media assistance to fundraisers as well as looking after our lovely celebrity patrons.

  • Donna O’Reilly

    Community Fundraising Officer

    As part of the community team, my main role is to help supporters organise their own fundraising, assisting them with the process of registering with us, sending out collection tins/t-shirts and setting up online sponsorship, amongst other things.  I’m also on hand to give advice and to take photos with our giant cheque to celebrate all our fundraisers’ hard work.

    Corporate Fundraising Manager

    I joined the Charity team in 2013 and head up the corporate fundraising team.  My role is to focus on growing the income and support received from companies throughout the region. Looking at trends in philanthropic giving, I’ll set the strategy and accompanying objectives for the corporate fundraising team to ensure we deliver against our targets and provide an excellent support service to our corporate partners.

    Community Fundraising Manager

    I have worked with the charity since 2010 and now head up the Community team.  I work with supporters, schools, nurseries and community groups who organise their own fundraising.  The best thing about my job is all the people I get to meet and work with - no two days are the same!

    Marketing & Communications Manager

    I have been with the Charity since 2006 and head up our Marketing & Communications team.  I am responsible for delivering our Marcomms strategy and increasing the charity’s profile across the region.  I am responsible for producing all of the charity’s marketing materials, the website and key mailings to our donors.  My favourite part of the job is meeting some of the patients we treat.

    Events Officer

    I support the Events Manager in executing our busy annual events calendar, which could include anything from balls, dinners and concerts to skydives, abseils and spina-thons. I also work on external mass-participation sporting events to ensure our participants are fully supported in their fundraising efforts as well as being there for them on the day.

    I am our charity mascot and love getting out and about promoting the fantastic work of our charity. You'll see me at all our fundraising events as I love to be on-hand to help out and meet all our incredible supporters.  If you'd like me to attend one of your events just let me know, I'd be thrilled to come along!

    Communications Officer

    I work with our case study children and families to show how the projects we support help. I am also responsible for maintaining the charity website, social media activity and internal communications and writing the charity's newsletter.
